Scott Petti has been an artist his entire life. Fortunately, he has been successful at strictly pursuing his passion, not a typical accomplishment in the art world. Scott is always busy with his hands dipping in just about every cookie jar. Over 25 years ago he began working for Walt Disney Imagineering. From painting models to creating full size production pieces, props, sets and color boards. Additionally, he has painted sets, large murals and artwork for movies, commercials, and music videos like Elton John’s “This Train Don’t Stop There Anymore”.

Scott has been a contract artist for Disney ever since, creating the art work and sets for incalculable premiers, events, theme parks and stage shows. He has never missed a deadline!

Scott also works as a designer, and art director.

One of his latest projects was to recreate the house from the movie "UP", which was hung over Hollywood Blvd for the movies premier.

Scott Petti's talents do not stop with just painting and artwork. He is a natural in front of the camera.

He has co-hosted an online design show and most recently hosted his own five part series for the DIY network; Scrap.

His passion for art is more than apparent and all-encompassing. When recently asked if he had to choose any profession what would it be. His response was
quite simply, “I don't have to choose. I am an artist”.

Completed a 12 week estimated project in just 5 weeks; an insurmountable task. During those 5 weeks Scott worked into the am hours of the day; even working on Thanksgiving! The final piece was assembled as the studio trucks arrived to take the window displays to their location; The El Capitan Theater on Hollywood Blvd.

Scott created this "Christmas dinner" for Disney's Train Tour for the movie "A Christmas Carol". The fake food had to be glued, bolted, and encased in clear rubber to prevent breakage and theft. Scott sculpted the turkey out of foam, fiber glassed it for hardness, painted and then sprayed an automotive clear to finish it off.
